Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Critical Care Float Pool RN with at least 2 years of recent ICU experience and an active NY RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Critical Care Float Pool
- Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Float to multiple ICU units, including Neuro and SICU units
- Utilizes Epic EMR system and experience is mandatory
- No block scheduling permitted
- Contract assignment length is 13 weeks
- Competency testing is required for all float pool assignments
- Only medical exemptions for flu vaccination, signed by a licensed professional, will be accepted
- More than 3 call-outs in a 13 week period may result in contract termination; makeup shifts must be completed within 6 weeks
- Requested time off must be submitted at time of application
- Travel pairs are not allowed
- Travelers may only be considered for one position at a time
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
- Current certifications from AHA or RQI must be provided
- Experience with Epic EMR is required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
- Competency testing for ICU required with up to 2 attempts to pass
- Candidate must not reside in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
- US Social Security Number is required
