Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts per week
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• 72-hour orientation required
• Weekend coverage required
• Float within scope if needed
• Care for patients aged adolescents through geriatrics
• Daily census of 4-6 patients in 10-bed unit
• 3 years of nursing experience required, minimum 1 year ICU experience
• Previous charge experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Virginia or compact state nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Natural nail policy must be followed
• Complete orientation modules on VCU Learning Exchange during orientation week
• Skills include ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, vasoactive drip titration, and care of critically ill patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
