Job Details:
• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts per week with guaranteed contracted hours
• Patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts (days, nights, and weekends)
• Weekend coverage required as needed - Saturday and Sunday for day shifts, Friday through Sunday for night shifts
• 2 years of experience required (will consider 1.5 years); Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience strongly preferred, though candidates with 2+ years Level I experience may be considered
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)
• New Mexico nursing license can be pending at time of submission
• Floating requirements include optional Pediatric ED and expected Adult PCU floating based on staffing needs
• May also float to ED Holding and Trauma depending on experience
• Provide emergency care for a high-acuity department where 60%-80% of patients are admitted
• Medication administration including IV medications, documentation, and communication of clinical findings
• Work with specialized equipment and procedures including trauma/resuscitation care
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Black scrubs required (not provided)
• Use Cerner charting system
• Overtime must be pre-approved and is rarely granted
• Must complete compliance documents within strict deadlines
