• This is an opportunity to practice with an expanding hospitalist service.
• Our hospital provides an incredible impact to the healthcare of Northwestern Connecticut.
• In the Hospitalist service we work to lessen waiting in the emergency room, speed up diagnosis and treatments, reduce hospital stays while improving outcomes and continuity of care.
• Hospitalists provide support for Primary Care Physicians and rapid response to all hospitalized patients.
• Provider census, shared between day and night hospitalists is about 45 patients per day, with 5-10 admissions per day, and about 2 providers on schedule at any given moment.
• This is a closed Intensive Care Unit with specialty support.
