Seeking a full-time Neonatologist to serve as NICU Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at a regional perinatal center in Roanoke, VA. Responsibilities include providing advanced neonatal care in a Level 2 NICU, leading NICU operations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, participating in education, quality improvement, and research, and covering clinical shifts/on-call duties. Requires Board Eligible/Board Certified Neonatology, Virginia medical license or eligibility, and DEA prior to start.

Job Responsibilities- Provide expert neonatal care at the regional perinatal center and Level 2 NICU.
- Manage and lead NICU operations, ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational excellence.
- Oversee advanced NICU services including high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, and nitric oxide therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists.
- Support medical education by working with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and residents.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
- Provide clinical coverage including day shifts, on-call, and weekend duties as needed.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in leadership meetings and committees.
- Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Neonatology (required).
- Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain.
- Clean malpractice and medical license history (highly preferred).
- Must be willing to relocate if not currently residing in the area.
- DEA must be obtained prior to start.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
- Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain a license.
- DEA license (must be procured prior to commencement).
