The Production Worker on 2nd shift is responsible for assembling steel joist components by setting up jigs, interpreting shop drawings, aligning parts, and preparing them for final welding. The role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to follow instructions with on-the-job training provided. This full-time position offers competitive compensation, shift differentials, bonuses, and benefits in a manufacturing environment.

New employees can earn 55K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses.
There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives.
Position is full-time with benefits!
2nd Shift
Monday-Friday 4:00 pm - 1:30 am
Overtime and weekends when needed
Assembles steel joist components ready for final welding; performs such work consistent with corporate mission, values and department's financial objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sets up jigs, reads and interprets shop drawings necessary for such work.
- Moves parts into position.
- Aligns parts.
- Tack welds or clamps parts into position ready for moving along conveyor to final welding area.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, cleaning, metal scrap removal and other joist assembly-related activities

REQUIREMENTS:
- No experience necessary. On the job training provided.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
