Description

Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations. Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol. Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Position is Per Diem, 0.01 FTE, Day Shift, Hours are as needed. Located onsite at Providence Valdez Medical Center in Valdez, AK!

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training - Graduate of accredited Diagnostic Sonography Program or Certification with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer within 1 year of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Abdomen, OB/Gyn including clinical rotation

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 months - Ultrasound coursework experience in Breast, Vascular including clinical rotation.
