Anesthesiology physicians provide anesthesia care across various surgical specialties including OB, ENT, neuro, orthopedic, general, trauma, and pediatrics. They may supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), ensure patient safety during procedures, and document in electronic medical records such as Cerner. This role involves working at a Level II trauma center with multiple operating and specialty rooms, requiring board certification and active state licensure in the U.S.
The Interim Permanent Physician Assignment in Alaska
-Location: Anchorage, AK
-Duration: October and ongoing
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1-4 weeks per month (minimum of 1 week per month)
Shift: cases start at 7:30a-3:30pm
Call: Not required
Scope: OB, ENT, NEURO, ORTHO, GENERAL, Trauma, PEDS (not required if provider doesn t see peds), some cardio but zero thoracic.Some Supervision of CRNA s but not required as the CRNA s are independent but some cases require the Anesthesiologist to sign off on the CRNA.
EMR: Cerner now
Hospital: 176 bed, Level II trauma center. 11 ORS, 4 endoscopy rooms, additional 4 rooms, and 2 OB rooms
Required: Board Certified or truly board eligible, Active state license in the United states,
must be comfortable being a W-2 as this is a Tribal community (30 day notice must be given, minimum of 1 week per month for coverage, Ideally clean background.
