We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide vital pediatric surgical support on a call-only basis (ASAP - Ongoing). This locum tenens position offers a temporary assignment to manage anticipated surges in patient volume within a defined timeframe, allowing you to contribute to exceptional pediatric care while managing your workload effectively. Focused Call Coverage: Enjoy a predictable schedule with defined call periods, allowing for focused periods of on-site availability while maintaining a flexible schedule outside of call hours. Streamlined Credentialing Process (for qualified candidates): We understand the importance of timely care and will work diligently to facilitate temporary privileges for qualified applicants with a clean history (estimated timeframe of 30 days). While our facility utilizes the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) system, we will provide comprehensive training to ensure seamless integration into our workflow. Supportive Team Collaboration: Partner with other physicians, nurses, surgical technicians, and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for your young patients. Qualifications: Board-certified in Pediatric Surgery is required. Fellowship training is not required. Active medical license in Texas (TX) only is mandatory. Current certification in ACLS and BLS is essential for patient safety. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an inpatient pediatric surgery setting is preferred. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
