American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of recent inpatient rehab or acute experience for a 13-week assignment with weekday and every other weekend shifts.
Responsibilities- Position is based in an inpatient rehab or acute care setting
- Full-time schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend availability required
- 13-week assignment with 8-hour shifts
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Main responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation, program planning, and administration of treatment to patients as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Will perform detailed clinical patient assessments and develop age-appropriate care plans following physician referral
- Responsible for accurate and appropriate documentation of all patient treatments
- Must be responsive to new and changing assignments as part of a dynamic work environment
- CPI training must be completed within 6 months of hire unless not applicable for PRN positions
- Valid and active PT license required; no pending licenses accepted
- Degree in Physical Therapy required
- At least 2 years of recent experience in a US hospital in an inpatient rehab or acute care setting required
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- State licensure required; license required if applicable
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI/TEAM) training mandated within 6 months of hire
- First Aid certification preferred
- Must have US Social Security Number
- Primary source license verification required
- References from at least two managers or supervisors, including one from the most recent employer, are preferred
