Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - CVOR
Job Details:
• Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM, 4 days per week (Monday-Friday)
• 1:1 patient ratio in cardiovascular operating room
• Call requirement: 2 days per week and every third weekend for an average of 14 call days per 6-week schedule
• May work 5 days if called in on weekend call shifts
• Float to main OR on same campus if no volume in CVOR
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience with CVOR, ECMO, and Impella experience required
• Required certifications: BLS; preferred certifications: ACLS
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred but not required
• 24-hour unit orientation required
• Blue scrubs provided by facility
• Use Epic charting system, Pyxis medication system, and SBAR communication
• Work with patient diagnoses including CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissections, TAVR procedures, and thoracic cases
• Must be available for Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Cannot work more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week per fatigue policy
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually

The facility provides advanced cardiac surgical services including complex procedures like ECMO and Impella support, serving adult and geriatric populations. The organization offers extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
