The Client IT Business Analyst at Gallagher Benefit Services analyzes and manages client data to support actuaries, consultants, and customers by using statistical, machine learning, and data visualization tools. The role requires skills in SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerPoint, and experience within the insurance or risk management sectors. It emphasizes data integrity, report automation, and clear communication in a fully remote work environment.
How you'll make an impact
The Client IT Business Analyst manages and organizes client data, will be responsible for analyzing client data from both internal and external databases in order to support internal actuaries, consultants and customers. This person will provide data analysis services to internal and external clients, use software to analyze data and create required outputs (files, reports, utilization analyses, etc.), develop external data requests, analyze externally created data, performs data integrity analysis, and create required outputs.
Main Responsibilities:
Data Analysis
. Use statistical analysis tools to understand and identify patterns in our data to be used in improving business results
. Solid exploratory data analysis and data preparation / scrubbing skills to ensure analysis is based on credible data
. Experience with Machine Learning protocols and methodologies
Reporting / Visualizations
. Prepare reports and visualizations to communicate complex data findings in a simple manner to executives
. Experience with visualization tools
. Experience automating PowerPoint or PDF presentations
. Creating visualizations from other data sources
. Creating commentary relevant to visualizations
About You
Required:
. 4-8+ years of relevant experience
. SQL / SQL Server Management Studio
. Python / Machine Learning
. Tableau
. PowerPoint
. Experience with Insurance / Risk Management business.
. Must be comfortable in working in a fully remote job environment.
. Must be a profficent communicator and willing to be part of team interactions and development.
. Must have an understanding and prior usage of remote workforce tools.
Preferred:
. Insurance data analysis experience highly preferred (claim examination, fraud detection, claim auditing information systems, data analysis and reporting).
. Insurance industry designations preferred.
. Health Insurance experience a significant plus.
. College degree a plus, but not required
