Travel Nursing Job Details

• Unit: Surgical/Ortho 6S (Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM), 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC
• Floating: May float within discipline across local campuses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications
• Ability to float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units as needed
• First-time travel nurses welcome
• Taxable address must be more than 50 miles from the facility

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on the Surgical/Ortho 6S unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC EMR
• Float to other Med/Surg or Stepdown units as required
• Educate patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
