Locum tenens Neonatologist needed for inpatient coverage in a Level III NICU providing 24-hour call shifts (up to 16 shifts/month) in an integrated, family-centered model. Position requires fellowship in neonatology, board certification or eligibility, active Iowa license or IMLC, clean malpractice/background, and Epic EMR documentation. Compensation is $3000 per 24-hour shift (8 gratis) with $400/hr call-back after 8 hours; practice is a 10-bed NICU with avg census ~6.3 and onsite imaging/lab/pharmacy.
Locum Tenens Neonatologist The facility is seeking a Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible Neonatologist for locum tenens coverage in a Level III NICU. This is an inpatient-only role with 24-hour call coverage in an integrated NICU model that emphasizes family-centered care. Compensation: $3000/24 hours with 8 hour gratis. Call-back - $400/hr after 8 hours. Position Details Specialty: Neonatology Practice Setting: Inpatient NICU Schedule and Coverage 24-hour call shifts Up to 16 shifts per month Each shift includes approximately 8 patient contact hours On-call coverage is 24 hours Practice Environment The practice consists of a 10-bed Level III NICU with an average daily census of 6.3 patients and the capacity to expand to 12 NICU infants for short periods of time. The NICU cares for neonates with gestational ages of 28 weeks and above. Infants under 28 weeks are stabilized and transferred to a higher level of care. The NICU operates under an integrated care model where infants remain in LDRP rooms with their families whenever possible. Unstable neonates may be placed in a separate room or within the NICU proper.
