A community hospital in Dickinson, ND seeks two locum tenens Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing day and night shift coverage. Candidates must be board certified with extensive emergency and trauma experience, comfortable performing critical emergency procedures, and possess required certifications and licensure. The hospital is a Level IV Trauma Center with robust acute care services, supporting a regional population with a strong medical staff infrastructure.
A smaller community hospital located in Dickinson, ND is in need of 2 locum tenens emergency medicine physicians (EM, IM, or FM boarded) for ongoing coverage. Ideally would start by 12/21/24 and you must be willing to cover both day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shifts, as well as weekends.

- Setting: level IV Trauma Center, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Dickinson, ND (1.5 hours from Bismarck)
- Acute Care Services: Med/Surg Pediatric Unit and ICU, Level II Nursery, Surgical Services, Orthopaedics with Robotic-Assisted Technology
- Strong community of 27K people that serves as a regional center for 101K people
- Feels like a big hospital, but actually a critical access hospital. A lot of support staff that you find at a bigger hospital
- 1.5 patients/hour on average
- 12 hours of mid-level assistance during peak hours
- EMR - Meditech
- Must be comfortable with all procedures - intubations, chest tubes, central lines, critical care, procedural sedation, airway management, OB/GYN and eliveries, adult and pediatric resuscitations
- ABEM certification preferred; Also will consider FM/IM with extensive ED experience including trauma (at least 3 years with a minimum of 250 case logs in last calendar year, prior work in Level II trauma center or academic center)
- Must be board certified
- Must have ND license or IMLC
- Must have PALS, ATLS, ACLS, DEA
- Temp privileges available - credential in 4 weeks or less
- Urgent dates in December but will need for ongoing coverage
- Competitive hourly rate - negotiable and dependent on experience
- Travel/lodging covered - flight, hotel, rental car/mileage
