An Illinois health system seeks a BE/BC Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction to join their established Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Division. The role includes dedicated clinic and surgical time at advanced facilities, opportunities for academic affiliation, research, and program development including robotic surgery. The hospital is a large Level I Trauma Center serving a culturally rich, centrally located community near major cities and a top research university.
Illinois health system is seeking an additional BE/BC Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction to join their Division of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine
- Join an established total joint practice with 3 BC, fellowship-trained Adult Reconstruction surgeons and 3 Advanced Practice Providers
- Their collegial Orthopaedic Division is comprised of 3 fellowship trained Ortho Trauma surgeons, 4 fellowship-trained Hand Surgeons, 3 fellowship trained Orthopaedic Sports Medicine surgeons, a general Orthopaedic Surgeon, 3 Primary Care Sports Physicians, and 5 surgical and office-based Podiatrists
- Dedicated clinic time at a large modern 52,000 square foot Orthopaedic/Sports Medicine building with on-site PT/OT and well as potential for dedicated clinic time
- Block surgical opportunities at newly built 23,000 square foot Ambulatory Surgery Center as well as the Hospital and new Surgery Center
- Shared call supported by the Orthopaedic Trauma Service which has daily 0730 block time
- Opportunity for academic and research affiliation with the the Illinois College of Medicine, the world s first engineering-based medical school created in partnership with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- Potential Opportunity to develop a robotic surgery program and regional outreach
- The Hospital is a 489-bed Level I Trauma Center and is the largest regional hospital in East Central Illinois
- Candidates must have completed an accredited Orthopaedic Surgery residency program and an Adult Reconstruction fellowship
