Part-Time Sign On Bonus: $2,500
The Sonographer II plays a key role in delivering high-quality vascular imaging by preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, and supporting physicians and advanced practice providers during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role requires advanced vascular expertise and ensures accurate, timely imaging that guides patient care.
What You'll DoPrepare patients for vascular ultrasound procedures while ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication.
Perform advanced vascular sonography following established protocols and best practices.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology relevant to vascular imaging.
Adjust care appropriately based on the patient's age, condition, and individual needs.
Receive, verify, document, and process verbal, written, and electronic imaging orders.
Evaluate images for technical quality, appropriate labeling, and accurate patient identification.
Ensure complete, protocol-compliant examinations and timely transfer of images and clinical information to interpreting providers.
Identify, prepare, and administer contrast media or medications as prescribed; perform venipuncture when needed.
Operate EMR, RIS, and PACS systems efficiently and accurately.
Graduate of an ARRT-approved Sonography Program or CAAHEP-accredited Sonography Program - Required
Associate Degree - Preferred
Minimum 1 year of vascular sonography experience - Required
Must meet Life Support Training requirements per NH-HR-3096.
One of the following vascular certifications is required:
ARRT - Vascular Sonography
ARDMS - Vascular Technology (RVT)
CCI - Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
Equivalent combinations: RT(S)(VS), RDMS, RT(VS), RDMS(RVT), VT, RT(S)(RVS), RDMS(RVS)
