The Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with psychiatric disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while participating in continuous learning and quality improvement. Patient Care:
CHI St. Alexius Health, a regional referral center, is seeking a full-time, Adult Psychiatrist to join their growing Behavioral Health Team. The beautiful clinic and inpatient unit, both based in the hospital, has it's own dedicated space with a tremendous, long-standing support staff. The position would also boast the opportunity to be a part of an award winning service line with multiple levels of care, ranging from clinical & in-patient to partial hospitalization. We are a growing hospital employed team in a multi-specialty clinic of outstanding providers.
Practice Details:
CHI St. Alexius Health is a Level II Trauma Center and is the largest health care delivery system in central and western North Dakota that is comprised of a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. In addition, CHI St. Alexius Health manages five CAHs in North Dakota- Ashley, Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, SD. CHI St. Alexius Health also owns and operates outpatient clinics in Mandan and Minot. CHI St. Alexius Health - Bismarck, is a 185-bed, full-service, acute care medical center offering a full line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including primary and specialty physician clinics; home health and hospice services; durable medical equipment services and a fitness and human performance center. Pay Range

Patient Care:
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Provide clear and concise medical information.
- Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
- Perform procedures as needed
- Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
- Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
- A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible

- 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off model
- Potential to offer remote/telehealth services
