Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Active Tennessee RN license required
• 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
• Patient ratios: 5 patients during days, 6 patients during nights and weekends
• Care for adults and geriatric patients with general medical conditions, pre and post-operative patients
• Handle post heart catheterization patients and bedside procedures including dialysis catheter placement, thoracentesis, and incision & drainage
• Weekend coverage required
• Floating to other units required based on skill set and competency
• Work with interdisciplinary support teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
• Skills include isolation precautions, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed per contract

This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit with a daily census of approximately 30 patients. The facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical care with strong interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams.
