As a Senior Medical Physicist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care through the precise planning and execution of radiation treatments. Job Responsibilities:- Maintain and execute the Radiation Oncology Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Program.
- Implement, manage, and maintain all medical physics QA equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance and routine calibrations.
- Coordinate with alternate physicists to ensure full clinic coverage; manage vacation/illness schedules.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to medical physics.
- Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists to ensure safe and effective patient treatments.
- Administer and oversee all physics-related software systems; manage updates and upgrades.
- Perform QA testing on linear accelerators and CT simulators per regulatory requirements.
- Oversee dosimetry operations, ensuring quality assurance for each patient.
- Conduct weekly patient chart reviews and maintain accurate documentation of patient consults and QA activities.
- Manage physics testing, credentialing, and RTOG protocol participation.
- Master of Science degree in physics, biophysics, medical physics, radiological physics, nuclear engineering, or health physics - REQUIRED
- Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics - REQUIRED
- Minimum of 3+ years experience - REQUIRED
- Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) certification through the state of Ohio - REQUIRED
- Licensed to practice in Ohio.
- Board Certified in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
- CRE certification through the state of Ohio.
