Attending Physicians in the Department of Radiology are responsible for the supervision of and interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies obtained within the hospital system. This position is specifically for but not limited to body imaging services including CT, MRI, US and fluoroscopy including all general x-ray (chest/musculoskeletal/spine etc.). Experience must be wide and varied.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school or university.
Licensed physician in the State of Illinois or have the ability to obtain licensure prior to starting employment.
Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
If currently in or recently completed fellowship training, passed step I board Examination by the American Board of Radiology. Must become certified after completion of practice requirements stipulated by the ABR or AOBR to maintain recommendation for remaining on the medical staff.
OR
Completed and maintained Certification by the American Board of Radiology or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
Currently enrolled in or has completed fellowship training in a United States
body imaging fellowship or similar as determined by the department Chair.
Must have a Federal DEA certificate or the ability to obtain one prior to starting employment. (medical staff requirement).
Desired qualifications: Able to interpret all types of body imaging examinations including Prostate MRI, Abdominal/Pelvic MRI.
Desired Time Period/Hours:
8am-4pm on average
Half hour unpaid lunch
No call/no weekends
3 mos. with anticipated need for one radiologist physician start Feb 6 through April 5 2023.
Productivity based on academic radiologist on average 35 RVU per day.
Must comply with all employment standards including onboarding training, immunizations (Covid initial plus booster, yearly influenza etc.)
