Practice Description:
- Location: Saginaw, MI
- Clinical (0.7 FTE): Regular inpatient day shifts with integrated teaching of students and residents
- Administrative (0.3 FTE): Leadership duties, committee participation, and program oversight
- Blend of clinical care with administrative leadership, serving as a key liaison between the hospital medicine team, administration, and other departments.
- Provide and manage direct inpatient care for Internal Medicine patients
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate residents and medical students in both clinical and hospital settings
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop and monitor quality, safety, and performance metrics
- Serve as liaison between Hospital Medicine, hospital administration, and other departments to enhance care delivery and operational efficiency
- Participate in recruitment, orientation, and professional development of hospitalist providers
- Support educational programs, conferences, and curriculum development within the residency and medical education framework
- Lead or contribute to quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary meetings
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM)
- Eligible for Michigan medical licensure and faculty appointment with a College of Medicine
- Demonstrated leadership, teaching, and communication skills
- Commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations
