This locum tenens position seeks a qualified Wound Care Physician with at least five years of experience to provide specialized wound care services at a rehabilitation center in Richmond, Texas. The role involves treating various types of wounds for inpatient and outpatient residents, collaborating with primary care providers and nursing staff, and ensuring care meets medical standards. The physician must hold an active unrestricted Texas wound care license and deliver timely, high-quality wound management, particularly for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Adelphi is seeking qualified Wound Care Physician who can provide wound care services to patients at a facility in Richmond, Texas. Job Quick Facts: Reference No.: BD-399-01 Profession: Physician Specialty: General Surgery/Wound Care Location: Richmond, Texas Facility Type: Rehabilitation Center Job Type: Contract (one year) Coverage: Clinical (minior call back services) Schedule: Mondays-Fridays, 8 AM-5 PM Compensation Rate: $135/hour Requirements: Must be fully trained and have a minimum of five years relevant experience. Must have an active U.S. wound care license from the Texas Medical Board and it must not have restrictions. Responsibilities: Provide wound care services and to treat RSSLC residents for all spectrums of skin integrity in the inpatient and outpatient setting. Visit facility to see individuals and provide specialized treatment and collaborate with facility's PCPs and nurses for wound care management. Manage pressure ulcers, infectious wounds, injury wounds,or any wounds that have failed improvement with primary care management. Services to be performed in a timely manner and as necessary for the health and welfare of patients. Come to the facility to assess the patient on a weekly basis or as needed. All services must meet the standard required by the facility's Medical Director. Deliver high quality wound care services to individuals with intellectual disabilities served by the facility in accordance with current accepted medical practices. Be knowledgeable of methods and procedures in general medicine and of the principle of development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment. Be skilled in the care and treatment of patients and in the use of medical diagnostics and wound care services.
