Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a KS or compact license and current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for a night shift assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Position is in the Emergency Department of a healthcare facility
  • Provides direct care to patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent conditions
  • Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, and coordinating interdisciplinary care
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently in a high-stress environment
  • Requires strong critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
  • Onsite orientation includes completion of CPI/MOAB high-risk training
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required
  • Holiday and weekend coverage may be required per facility policy
  • Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate according to facility radius rule
  • Candidates may only apply to one position per health system at a time
Requirements
  • Active KS or compact state RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
  • Nursys verification and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Current TNCC certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • CPI Blue Card Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or MOAB De-Escalation Course required prior to start, with additional onsite MOAB Managing Physical Confrontations Course during orientation
  • Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
