This locum tenens position seeks a board-certified or eligible anesthesiologist to provide trauma and general anesthesia coverage in a Level II trauma center in California. The role involves full-time day shifts with 10- to 12-hour durations and requires experience in neuraxial and regional anesthesia as beneficial. The facility is a comprehensive stroke center with 264 beds and five operating rooms, emphasizing physician-only anesthesia coverage without CRNAs.
Coverage Needed: ASAP - Ongoing Full Time Day Shifts 12-hour and 10-hour shifts Clinical Information: Staffing Model: 14 employed Physicians 11 Generalists 3 Cardiac Level II Trauma Center 264Beds 5 ORs This is a comprehensive stroke center General Anesthesia, Trauma, and experience with neuraxial and regional anesthesia is a plus. 6000 annual cases No CRNA, only physicians 5 main ORS Credentialing 60-90 days (waiting to find out on emergency privileges) Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges.Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19 Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
