Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans• Multiple location options available including Evansville, Knox, South Bend, Seymour, Kokomo, and Muncie• Position requires 2 days per week at selected locations• Provider must either work at VES locations or have their own office within a 50-mile radius of service area• PRN basis, ongoing with flexible scheduling options• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)• One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Acceptable specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or experience with compensation and pension• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• Requires active AANP certification• Must maintain active and unrestricted full license• Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)• Cannot be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
