Job Opportunity: Physician - Hospitalist - OB

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide expert inpatient obstetrical care in a busy hospital with a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Work in a collaborative hospital environment committed to delivering high-quality obstetrical care.
- Cares for approximately 13-14 patients daily across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for patient documentation and care management.
- Maintain a schedule of five to six 24-hour shifts per month (7 AM to 7 AM).
- Weekend shifts are required and follow the same 24-hour schedule as weekdays.
- No on-call responsibilities are associated with this position.
- Manage an average of 4-5 deliveries per 24-hour period, with the majority being vaginal deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements as per facility guidelines.
- Options to work as a 1099 independent contractor are available.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Active California medical license or an application in progress.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licenses.
- Delivery experience is mandatory; preferred candidates will have 1-5 years of relevant practice experience.
- New graduates or those who are board eligible but not yet certified are not eligible.
- Candidates with a history of malpractice or licensing issues may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Must not have applied directly for the position.
