American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent cath lab experience and current ARRT or RCIS certification.
Responsibilities- Acute care hospital setting in the cardiac catheterization lab
- Unit consists of 1 suite/lab with an average of 1-3 cases per day
- Patient population includes adult inpatients and outpatients with CAD, AMI, and other cardiac conditions
- Procedures performed include left heart catheterizations, stent placements, ICD and pacemaker procedures
- Uses Epic EMR and equipment such as Siemens cath, Siemens Sensis, Apollo, and Phillips IVUS
- Shift is 8 hour days from 0730 to 1600 with scheduled call
- Call required 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month, rotating holiday call; call team covers 3 campuses with a 30-minute response time to home campus
- Floating to Lakeside and Immanuel campuses in Omaha as needed
- Hospital-supplied scrubs are required
- Duties include scrubbing to assist physicians, case monitoring, and documentation
- Orientation will be provided at each of the three campuses, typically 1-3 days per location
- A supervisor is present in the lab to support the team
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Must comply with the 50-mile living radius rule as determined by driver's license
- Scrubs are supplied by the hospital
- Rotating holiday coverage is required
- Driver's license is necessary to confirm eligibility and response time requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent cath lab experience required
- Current ARRT or RCIS certification required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Proficiency in assisting with left heart caths, stent placement, ICD, and pacemaker procedures
- Experience using Epic EMR, Siemens cath, Sensis, Apollo, and Phillips IVUS equipment preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration to verify compliance with the 50-mile radius rule
- Must provide two professional references as specified
- Artificial fingernails are prohibited for patient care areas
- Must not be currently or recently (within 1 year) employed directly by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
