Location: Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City
Shift: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Overview:
Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies. Is responsible for patient safety protocols. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements. Participates in CQI activities.
Qualifications:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours
Experience: none
Certification: NMTCB or ARRT (N) OR Registry eligible (achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice
Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours
Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience
Certification: NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support (BLS)
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice
Current Nuclear Medicine Technologists who are moving to Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist title on the career ladder must complete all required Nuclear Medicine Technologist competencies.
Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience
Certification: NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support BLS; 1 advanced registry (NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), NMTCB(CT), NMTCB(RS))
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice
Current Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologists who are moving to Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist title on the career ladder must complete all required Nuclear Medicine AND Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist competencies.
This is a career-ladder position. The level at which the successful candidate is hired will be determined based on education, certification/licensure, and relevant imaging experience.
