The Respiratory Therapist (PRN DAYS) provides specialized respiratory care consultation and therapy services across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with physician orders and healthcare standards. The role involves evaluating respiratory needs, advising on program development, counseling patients and staff, and making referrals for ongoing care. This position requires state licensure, at least three years of experience, and the ability to travel between facility locations as needed.

Position Overview:The purpose of this position is to provide consultation for the facility. The Registered Respiratory Therapist shall provide the services of a qualified therapeutic respiratory technician. The sole responsibility of the Registered Respiratory Therapist shall be to provide guidance and counsel to the facilities respiratory services program.
Essential Job Functions:- Provide consultation to the administration and staff regarding planning, policy, development and priority setting based on initial and on-going evaluations of the respiratory service needs
- Provide respiratory therapy consultation to any resident in the facility in accordance with physician’s orders
- Counsel the patient, staff and family with regards to the patient’s respiratory therapy needs
- Make appropriate referrals for continuing respiratory care
- Review sanitation in accordance with current standards
- Travel to all facility locations as required
- Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the State of Texas, required
- Current BLS certification, required
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience, required
- Critical Care or ER experience, preferred
- Experience writing policies and procedures, preferred
Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
- Pennsylvania Candidates: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance), & Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years, or must be obtained prior to start date.
