Surgical Technologist Specialist | Operating Room FSC CSC | Day Shift | FullTime

Work in a high-acuity OR as a certified Surgical Technologist with mentoring responsibilities. Full-time Day Shift Surgical Technologist Specialist in the Operating Room; on-site; permanent role assisting surgeons, RNs, and anesthesiologists before/during/after procedures; supervises/orients new staff. - AST certification required - Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program - AST or NCCT recertification maintained - Ability to function as instrument and circulating assistant under RN supervision

Overview:

Assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery. The technologist specialist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse. Instruct and supervise orientees in sterile technique, procedures, anatomy, etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: AST certification required and AST or NCCT certification maintained.

Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program

• Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: AST certification, AST or NCCT recertification.
