We are seeking a Pediatric Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in northeastern Nevada, near Wells. This is a great chance to work in a flexible environment, providing much-needed care to the community.
Assignment Details:
- Start Date: January 2025
- Duration: Ongoing, with a flexible schedule
- Coverage Type: Call only
- Shift Details: 7-10 days per month
- Practice Setting: Combination of inpatient and outpatient (inpatient rounding required)
- Patients Per Shift: 2-3
- Admissions Per Call Shift: 1-2
Facility Features:
- Beds: 25 Med Surge, 7 ICU
- Nearest Airport: Elko Regional Airport
- EMR System: MEDHOST
Skills and Procedures Required:
- Non-invasive and invasive ventilation management for newborns and pediatrics
- Intubation (ETT/NT)
- Neonatal resuscitation (PALS and NRP required)
- Procedures including lumbar puncture, chest tube insertion, central line placement, and circumcision
Support Team:
Additional Details:
- Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
- Licensure Requirements: Must have an NV license or qualify through IMLC
- Privileges: Temporary privileges available
- Trauma Level: Non-designated
