A growing, well-established practice in Silvis, Illinois is actively seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN physician to join a collaborative and mission-driven care team. This is a full-scope role covering both inpatient and outpatient services, offering a blend of clinical autonomy and strong support in a medically underserved community.
Position Overview:Full-time, hospital-employed position
Work includes both inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN care
State-of-the-art birthing center featuring:
16 LDRP rooms
Level II nursery
Dedicated surgical suite
EMR: Cerner, transitioning to Epic in 2025
Average patient volume: determined by physician comfort
Office conveniently located on campus, a short walk from L&D
Partnership with a local FQHC to support safety-net care
Call structure: Flexible discussed during the interview
Required Procedures & Skills:Fetal monitoring
FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
OB ultrasound performance & interpretation
Routine and complicated deliveries (C-section, VBACs, breech, multiple births)
Management of both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Office/minor gynecology: IUD, colposcopy, cystoscopy, cryosurgery, LEEP
Laparoscopic/major procedures: tubal ligation, LOAs, ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy
Practice Snapshot:Goal: 3 physicians and 2 APPs (currently 1 APP in place)
Support: Seasoned RNs and dedicated staff in both clinic and hospital
Nursery admissions: 0 3 per day
C-section rate: 30%
GYN volume: customizable to physician preference
