This is a 60-day full-time locum tenens assignment for a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician with geriatrics experience in Massachusetts. The physician will provide comprehensive care to elderly patients, including performing physical exams, developing treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and educating patients and caregivers. The role requires active licensure in Massachusetts, board certification, DEA registration, and prior experience with frail or elderly populations.
We are seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician with geriatrics experience for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in Massachusetts, starting Jan 5, 2026. This full-time opportunity features a Monday through Friday schedule and involves providing comprehensive care to a frail or elderly population. Job Details Location: Massachusetts Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Geriatrician Schedule: Monday to Friday, full time; provider on-call rotation as required Responsibilities and Duties Conduct history and physicals on new participants, and perform event-based and periodic reassessments Develop medical treatment plans and provide medically necessary services Interview and evaluate applicants to the PACE Organization Discuss medical conditions and prognosis with participants and caregivers Collaborate in the nursing treatment program Participate as a member of the PACE Organization interdisciplinary team Educate participants and families regarding care and treatment Supervise the health care and treatment program Perform physical examinations, and order and evaluate diagnostic tests Additional Information Current and active plenary physician license to practice in Massachusetts required Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice required; Board Certification in Geriatrics preferred DEA Registration and Controlled Substances Registration required Minimum of one year experience working with a frail or elderly population required Previous supervisory experience required Experience or added qualifications in geriatrics preferred Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
