Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Float Pool position requiring 18 months of recent cardiac stepdown experience and an OH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Stepdown Float Pool covering a hospital setting
- Cardiac stepdown and progressive care patient population
- Schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts per week with day/night rotating shifts (7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am)
- Float pool assignment may require floating to different units as needed
- Traveler is required to work at least every other holiday
- Responsible for providing intermediate level care to stepdown cardiac patients and floating to similar units as operationally needed
- Must use Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked
- Assignments at any Cleveland Clinic locations may not exceed 18 consecutive months, and a 6 month break between assignments is required
- Orientation includes competency assessments for unit-specific skills
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand required
- Minimum 18 months of recent permanent cardiac stepdown experience in specialty required; travel experience accepted
- AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
