Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit night shift position in an acute care, Level I trauma center with a minimum of two years' experience and an active IL RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Surgical unit of an acute care hospital
- Level I trauma center and Magnet designated facility
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
- Average daily census of 21 patients
- Will float within scope as needed based on department requirements
- Every other weekend required
- Uses Cerner for charting
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions
- RTO ideally not to exceed 5 days
- No on-call responsibilities
- Scrubs may be any solid color
- Free parking permit provided after orientation
Requirements
- Active IL RN license or proof of application in process
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in Med/Surg required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including blood product administration, peripheral line and PICC line management required
- Knowledge of isolation precautions
