The Maintenance Mechanic at Campbell County Health is responsible for performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on hospital equipment and facilities. The position requires at least three years of similar experience, competency in blueprint reading, and strong problem-solving and communication skills in a healthcare environment.

JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic works under the supervision of the Supervisor to perform general maintenance duties. Assists other trades in completing maintenance and repair tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs scheduled (PM) Maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Performs unscheduled/ corrective maintenance on the building, equipment and hospital work orders as assigned.
- Troubleshoots problems accurately and takes initiative to repair, research and resolve problems.
- Instructs fellow trades persons in application of specialized troubleshooting and repair techniques as directed.
- Submits purchase requisitions to maintain adequate repair parts and supplies.
- Performs snow removal tasks.
- Make security rounds to check spaces and secure building.
- Makes equipment rounds to check equipment assigned for operation and safety.
- Stand duties as a Shift Engineer as per shift schedule.
- Complies with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
- Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive.
