• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 79 patients per day (Annual ED volume: 28,415)
• Admissions: 8.7% of patients admitted
• Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 10 (ED & Fast Track)
• EMR System: Ochsner EPIC
• Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Urology, Gastroenterology, ICU, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, General Surgery
• Support Staff Available: MD/DO coverage (34 hours), NP/PA coverage (12 hours)
• Reason for Coverage: Staffing coverage need

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Emergency medical procedures consistent with general hospital emergency medicine practice
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Active Louisiana medical license required
• BE/BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine; If not ABEM certified, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required
• Relevant Emergency Medicine experience
• EMR proficiency (Epic); Orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary team
• Accurately document all encounters using Ochsner EPIC
• Participate in onboarding including orientation, EMR training, and shadowing
• Ensure care aligns with current emergency medicine standards and protocols
