Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiothoracic ICU (CVICU) position requiring ACLS and BLS certifications and minimum of two years' recent ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an 18-bed cardiac and thoracic surgical intensive care unit
• Work within a hospital Cardiothoracic ICU setting
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Care for post-cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
• Cerner EMR is used for documentation
• Ceil blue scrubs must be worn per department requirements
• Must adhere to the local candidate radius rule, which affects pay rate eligibility
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Only one Ascension position submission is allowed system wide
• Team-based approach in a busy, high-acuity ICU environment

Requirements

• Active RN license with current Nursys verification required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• MOAB or CPI De-Escalation Course with Managing Physical Confrontations (8 Hours) required
• Must provide a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
• Two professional references and driver’s license will be needed for consideration
