Locum Opportunity for Emergency Medicine Physician with Flexible Shifts! Join a dedicated team near Vanceboro, North Carolina, as a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician. Scheduling: We are looking to fill twelve-hour shifts, with the potential for six to twelve shifts per month. The current open dates are: December Day Shifts (7:30 AM - 7:30 PM): 16th, 29th, 30th December Night Shifts (7:30 PM - 7:30 AM): 23rd, 26th, 27th Please note that a mandatory orientation session will be held the day before your first scheduled shift. Position Requirements: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) is preferred. We will also consider physicians with significant emergency medicine experience who are trained in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. These candidates must have recent ED experience and current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications. Emergency Department Details: Our hospital features a recently renovated 15-bed ED, including a fast-track section that operates 12 hours daily. The facility is an 81-bed hospital that serves approximately 27,000 patients annually. Average Patient Volume: 80 patients daily, with an average of 11 admissions per day. EMR: We use the EPIC electronic medical records system. Services: The hospital offers a range of medical and surgical services, including specialized stroke and chemotherapy care.
