We are seeking a qualified Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist for a temporary assignment in a well-established facility near Charleston, West Virginia. Position Details Location: Near Charleston, WV Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, temporary coverage Duration: November 25, 2024, at 7 a.m. through November 29, 2024, at 7 a.m. Specialty: Anesthesiology Setting: Inpatient only, no outpatient responsibilities Coverage Requirements On-Call: Beeper call required with phone consults and call-back as needed Average Patients: Volume and call ratios to be determined Procedures: General anesthesia required, along with adult and specific pediatric cases Practice Environment Facility: Inpatient services only; this facility does not handle complex trauma or pediatric emergency cases Support Staff: No supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) or teaching responsibilities required OR Skills Required: Cardiac, thoracic, and complex orthopedic surgeries are not performed at this facility General anesthesia with spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia surgery capabilities required Specific procedural skills in pain management techniques, ventilation management, central and arterial line placements, and anesthesia for neurosurgical and obstetrical cases Certification & Licensing Board Certification: Board-certified anesthesiologists required Licenses: West Virginia medical license required Certifications: Must have ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS Additional Details Electronic Medical Records (EMR): MediTech Credentialing: Expected timeframe for credentialing is 30-60 days; temporary privileges available for qualified candidates Trauma and Pediatrics Level: Level 0 (No complex trauma or high-risk pediatrics) Travel and Accommodation Nearest Airport: Accessible by nearby airports for ease of travel Lodging: Recommendations will be provided Application Instructions If you re interested in this temporary assignment and meet the qualifications listed, we encourage you to apply.
