An Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner provides advanced clinical care in emergency departments, performing patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatment. The role requires a Master's degree in nursing and at least one year of specialized emergency department experience, with preference for two years. These practitioners work shifts ranging from 0.6 to 0.9 full-time equivalent, focusing on delivering urgent care with high skill and efficiency.
ED PA or NP (.6, .75, or .9)
12 hour shifts (4 (.6), 5 (.75), or 6 (.90) shifts per bi-weekly)
PA
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program approved by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
At least (1) one year experience as a Physician Assistant practicing in an Emergency Department. At least (2) years experience as a Physician Assistant practicing in an Emergency Department preferred.
NP
Masters required. Graduate of an accredited nursing program including a Nurse Practitioner Program.
At least (1) one year experience as a Nurse Practioner practicing in an Emergency Department. At least (2) years experience as a Nurse Practioner practicing in an Emergency Department preferred.
