American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a variable shift position in Hawaii requiring a HI RN license and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in the emergency department of a hospital and skilled nursing facility
- Variable 8- or 12-hour shifts scheduled for 80 hours per two-week period
- Manager determines final shift schedule upon arrival
- One on-call shift per roster, with at least one weekend off per roster
- May float to other units according to clinical abilities and administration needs
- Equipment used includes Meditech EMR, Life pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems
- Must arrive the Friday prior to assignment start for employee health and HR clearance
- All compliance documents must be completed and uploaded at least one week before start date
- Must bring active HI RN license to employee health/HR appointment
- May be asked to float only to units where clinically competent
- Requested but not mandatory: NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications
- Active HI RN license required by assignment start date
- Minimum of 2 years recent ER nursing experience
- Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, and NIHSS
- Proficient IV skills and experience with Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations
- Familiarity with core measures, National Patient Safety Goals, AIDET, and Press Ganey practices
