Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleDay Shift: Three 12-hour shifts per week.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, prioritizing patient and employee safety.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within required timeframes, forming the basis of individualized care plans.
- Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care.
- Communicate pertinent patient information to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Provide training and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and effectively delegate tasks.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
- Contribute positively to the unit by fostering a collaborative environment among staff and patients.
- BLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift.
- ACLS Certification Required Prior to First Shift (CIRH ONLY).
- A minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
