The Behavioral Interventionist / Registered Behavior Technician provides one-on-one support to students with individualized educational plans in a school setting, implementing ABA strategies under BCBA supervision. Responsibilities include assisting teachers, collecting data, and managing behavior interventions to ensure safety and adherence to behavior plans. This role requires active RBT certification or relevant experience, strong empathy, and the ability to physically engage with students as needed.

Behavioral Interventionists / Registered Behavior Techniciansassist students, in a one-to-one relationship, to meet the goals expressed in the student's individualized educational program, under the direction of a BCBA, when a Behavior Intervention Plan is in place.
Behavioral Interventionist / Registered Behavior Technician Responsibilities:
- Implement student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP), using ABA strategies, with at least 90% fidelity per performance checks completed by BCBA.
- Assist teacher(s) and work collaboratively with educational and behavioral team for implementation of classroom/school routines.
- Accurately collect and graph data.
- Utilize CPI de-escalation strategies and physical management as necessary for safety.
- Attend and participate in individual and group supervisions as scheduled to ensure 5% of hours worked as an RBT are supervised to remain in compliance with BACB.
Behavioral Interventionist / Registered Behavior Technician Qualifications:
- Active RBT certification or mimum 2 years experience working in a setting with students that have a level of behavioral need.
- Passing Parapro Exam Score
- Associates degree or higher (48 credit hours+)
Behavioral Interventionist / Registered Behavior Technician Key Competencies:
- Empathy, understanding of developmental stages, and understanding and ability to utilize ABA strategies.
Behavioral Interventionist / Registered Behavior Technician Physical Requirements:
- This is an active position that requires employee to work parallel with students in multiple settings.
- Additionally, students may test physical boundaries, which may require physical intervention.
Behavioral Interventionist / Registered Behavior Technician Compensation:
- $23 - $28/hr. depending on experience
