Travel RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Telemetry)
• Location: Akron, OH 44304 – Northeast Ohio healthcare jobs
• Unit: 7 East (Med/Surg Oncology, 14 beds)
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 6 weeks (Start: 12/14/2025 – End: 1/24/2026)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 (occasionally up to 1:7)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910–$1960

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Nursys verification required for onboarding
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Recent experience with Epic EMR (within the last year, must be shown on resume)
• BLS certification (required for all RN jobs)
• Accredited nursing degree through ACEN or CCNE
• Proficiency in IV starts and phlebotomy
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Chemo certification preferred (not required)
• Must submit requested time off (RTO) at application (maximum 7 days, no block schedules)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg Oncology Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and administer medications as ordered
• Accurately document patient care and assessments in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as required to support patient care needs
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
