About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality urgent care services during evening and weekend shifts. This role offers the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and urgent medical conditions in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments to determine urgent care needs
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and minor surgical interventions
- Prescribe medications and treatments based on evidence-based clinical guidelines
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, laboratory tests)
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adhere to clinical protocols, best practices, and regulatory standards
- Provide patient-centered care with empathy, professionalism, and compassion
Qualifications
- Master s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, or
Master s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program - Active Oklahoma license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field preferred
- Skilled in performing urgent care procedures and managing acute medical conditions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment
- Availability to work evening and weekend shifts as scheduled
