Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality emergency and family medicine care to adult and pediatric patients (6 months and up)
- Perform procedures including I&D, lac repairs, ear irrigations, and other minor interventions
- Manage a patient load averaging 20 cases per day utilizing Epic EMR
- Work independently as the sole provider, ensuring thorough assessment and treatment
- Collaborate effectively with support staff and a supervising physician (for APPs)
- Adhere to clinical protocols, maintain certifications, and ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 12 months clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in urgent or emergency care
- Certification in Physician Assistant (PA-C), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or equivalent
- Active licensure and board certification (NCCPA or relevant Boards)
- BLS certification mandatory
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Strong soft skills, including effective communication and patient rapport
- Ability to work independently and handle a diverse patient demographic
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with pediatric care or procedures
- Previous work in urgent care or emergency department settings
- Familiarity with minor procedures and high-volume clinical environments
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program
- At least 12 months of post-licensure clinical experience in urgent or emergency care
- Comfortable working in multiple locations within a 65-mile radius
Other Requirements:
- Compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital credentialing standards
- Ability to start as early as late December 2025
- Willingness to undergo EMR training and onboarding processes
- Mileage reimbursement for support across multiple sites
- No overnight travel or call requirements; offsite supervision provided by a supervising physician
