Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking a Board Certified Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Hays, Kansas, supporting a stable, well-run anesthesia department with a strong CRNA team and predictable weekday scheduling.
This opportunity is ideal for anesthesiologists seeking daytime-only work, broad case exposure (including OB), and the flexibility to opt into call only if desired.
Assignment Snapshot

- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Shift Times:
- Typically 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Start times may vary by day

- No call or weekends to start
- Optional call rotation available if desired
- EMR: Meditech
Clinical Scope & Case Mix- Case Types Include:
- General Surgery
- Orthopedics
- ENT
- Urology
- Endoscopy
- Obstetrics (required)
- No Cardiac Cases
- Regional Anesthesia: As appropriate for cases
- OB: Must be comfortable with OB anesthesia
Staffing & Practice Model- Anesthesia Team:
- 4 Anesthesiologists
- 12 CRNAs
- CRNA Model:
- CRNAs practice independently
- Physician Role:
- Clinical anesthesia care
- Collaborative environment with experienced CRNAs
Candidate Requirements- Board Certified Anesthesiologist (ABA)
- Active Kansas medical license preferred (licensing assistance available)
- Comfortable with OB anesthesia
- Ability to work independently in a community hospital setting
- Clean file for smooth credentialing
