Job Description: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Nights | Contract

Schedule: Night shift – three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly) following the first week of orientation; no guarantee of hours

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a night-shift contract assignment in a high-volume emergency department. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with rapid patient turnover and high-acuity cases.
Unit Details
- 28-bed Emergency Department
- 4 trauma bays
- 2 behavioral health rooms
- 22 cardiac monitoring rooms
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across all acuity levels
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and prioritization of care
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergent situations
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Accurately document care using the electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start
- Strong critical-thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Certifications
- BLS/BCLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
Equipment & Systems
- EPIC electronic medical record (EMR)
Additional Requirements
- Must arrive the Thursday prior to assignment start to complete employee health requirements on Friday
